Tradeshift is launching a wave of accounting system partners. This will kick-start the integration of solutions that will extend and add considerable value to the process of invoicing into the Tradeshift platform. It has always been Tradeshift’s goal to create a strong ecosystem of application and business software providers.

Today Tradeshift is announcing that they have partnered up with more than 10 SaaS accounting packages. This will bring directly integrated electronic invoicing into small business systems to more than 100,000 small European businesses over the next 6 months. And all this without the owners having to do anything at all.

Our partners who have been using our beta API’s to work with integrating Tradeshift platform are, amongst others:

ERPLY – a rapidly growing free ERP system

  • E-conomic – the leading SaaS accounting solution provider in northern Europe
  • Workbook – a specialized platform for the media business
  • Office123 – an open-source ERP system
  • Continia – integrating Tradeshift with its advanced bank payments systems for Microsoft C5 and Dynamics
  • Winfinans – Windows based desktop accounting
  • Ibistic – the leading e-invoicing workflow system in Scandinavia

Christian Lanng, CEO and co-founder of Tradeshift comments: “We are very proud to announce this first wave of partners. It shows that Tradeshift is filling a gap in the market and that software providers have been waiting for new business models in the business network space. We are now one step closer to the goal of becoming the cloud platform linking what so far have been isolated islands of business software.”

Two of the leading European SaaS accounting providers add their perspectives:

“We have been growing E-conomic aggressively over the last few years in Scandinavia and Tradeshift enables our user base to easily manage their business documents together with their business network. Furthermore I believe that the add and invite functionality of Tradeshift will have a viral effect on our product as well as on Tradeshift itself. This partnership will strengthen both of our products considerably” – Torben Frigaard, CEO of E-conomic.

“We are really glad to be working with Tradeshift. Our users can now easily handle e-invoicing while Erply complements Tradeshift’s basic module, adding invoice creation and integrated inventory management capabilities. Between us we’ve created a solution that really cuts the cost of sharing everyday transactional documents for businesses.” – Kristjan Hiiemaa, CEO of ERPLY

Open APIs

As part of its partner programme Tradeshift is launching it’s API offering. During the coming month the API can be accessed in a closed beta version but will be made available for anyone who wants to build connected business software from the 1st of August 2010.

The Tradeshift API makes it possible for partners and developers to create applications that utilize the unique Tradeshift Business Network Infrastructure in order to invite existing users and businesses to their apps or to exchange business documents over the network.

Any software using the Tradeshift API will be able to synchronize user and business partner master data, thus ensuring that this data is always up to date.

The platform for global trade

Tradeshift has now launched its platform globally, giving every company the chance to create an international profile. At the present time the platform is available in English, German and Danish but over the next six months we will be introducing a wide range of the world’s most widely used languages in order to meet the growing demand for our services.
