EY Supply Chain days
Join us and exchange thoughts at the EY Supply Chain days in Heidelberg!
This year the event is being held under the title “Supply Chain of the Future – Robots, Humans, and AI“. A lot of things have happened recently in Supply Chain Management: Machine learning, advanced analytics, cloud services, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are just the big topics proving that we are on the brink to a far reaching digitalization in Supply chain management.
Does this mean that humans will be completely removed from planning and managing supply chain processes? Do we still need planners, controllers, decision makers in supply chains? The combination of the human decision-making competence and creativity with automated processes and the selective use of AI and optimization systems seems to be the ideal solution for realizing the supply chain of the future. This changes the requirements for the employees in the supply chain management, demands new approaches for employee-training, but also offers new opportunity to attract new employees for the supply chain tasks.
During Supply Chain Days 2019, more than 120 supply chain experts, managers and scientists will hold discussions about how the human factor will look in the digital supply chain.
