Leadership Change: October 2023
“In late August of this year, Tradeshift’s newly constituted Board and management team became aware of serious allegations of sexual assault and harassment against Christian Lanng, former CEO of Tradeshift.
On 1st September Mr Lanng was dismissed for gross misconduct on multiple grounds, including the allegations above, and formal steps commenced to remove him from the Board.
At Tradeshift, we are committed to addressing complaints of workplace misconduct without compromise. Ensuring a safe and supportive working environment for our team is our paramount priority. Our company handbook and code of conduct outline clear behavioural expectations and policies, and all employees participate in mandatory annual training on the prevention of workplace harassment.
Last year, we introduced a global EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) to which we are adding a dedicated and anonymous whistleblowing line. Our employees are encouraged to report misconduct, of any kind, through this channel, and we are offering additional HR support to any colleagues affected by this news.
The Board has appointed James Stirk as acting CEO with fortified management structures in place. James has been integral to our growth over the last few years and under his leadership we are confident of a bright future for Tradeshift.”
