What’s new for e-Invoicing compliance – Spring 2025
1. Inbound e-Invoicing solution for Germany
What’s new: Our inbound e-Invoicing solution for Germany offers seamless integration with automatic email inbox setup to receive e-invoices in mandated formats (XRechnung and ZUGFeRD). We enable onboarding from the first invoice, document enrichment for missing information, and collaboration tools for efficient handling. Our solution also includes lifecycle and payment status tracking. As of December 2024 buyers using the Tradeshift platform are able to receive compliant e-Invoices to meet the requirements that went into effect in January 2025.
How does it benefit users: An invoice receiver (buyer) will receive the e-invoice in the mandated format directly into their Tradeshift account, will be able to check if there is any missing information and if so will send it back to the sender (seller) for enrichment. Everything is done seamlessly through the Tradeshift platform.

2.Interoperability tests with other PDPs in France
What’s new: We’ve reached a significant milestone in developing our PDP e-Invoicing clearance solution for France. We successfully conducted interoperability tests with other registered PDPs, ensuring seamless connectivity. As of August 19, 2024, we are an officially registered PDP with registration ID #0036.
How does it benefit users: This is another step in ensuring that our PDP e-Invoicing clearance solution helps businesses in France comply with the mandate that goes into effect in September 2026.
2.Platform translations – Vietnamese
What’s new: The Tradeshift platform is now available in Vietnamese, expanding our language support to a total of 24 languages.
How does it benefit users: The localization of the platform will broaden market access for Vietnamese users, improve their user experience, and ensure their full participation in procurement opportunities, ultimately driving greater engagement and satisfaction.

E-Invoicing and tax compliance in the next 5 years
In 2024, several countries rolled out their own mandates, including Germany’s e-Invoicing compliance framework, Romania and Malaysia’s tax clearance systems, and France’s phased implementation of mandatory e-Invoicing through designated technology providers. At the EU level, the ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) initiative mandates that by 2030, all member states must adopt e-Invoicing and digital reporting.
