Tradeshift Accelerates Global Growth With Office Openings in France, Germany and Japan; Expands Leadership Team With New EMEA & Japan Sales Executives

SAN FRANCISCO–Tradeshift, the fastest growing business transaction and collaboration platform, has significantly expanded its global footprint – announcing today the opening of operations in France, Germany and Japan. As of September 15, Tradeshift has appointed Charles Royon VP of EMEA. Additionally the company announced Fred Macaraeg as Managing Director in Japan and Aki Okubo as President of Tradeshift Japan. Tradeshift’s expansion efforts began earlier this year when the company established a presence in China on the heels of securing $75 million in funding. “From day one we have been a global company, understanding that a key driver of success is building an internationally diverse team that is able to solve global business issues,” said Christian Lanng, CEO Tradeshift. “These openings are strategically inline with our business goals and the executives leading each office have proven successes within international business.” The addition of Royon, Macaraeg and Okubo signals a strong shift in market position for the relatively young company. The industry veterans bring decades of experience and leadership in the European and Japanese enterprise markets to the Tradeshift sales force. Since Tradeshift’s founding in 2010, the company has emphasized the need to scale globally and applies a special focus when it comes to the requirements of the localized economies they enter. Tradeshift brings all companies, big and small, together to transact, connect and collaborate with each other. For suppliers, that means delivering free electronic invoicing, enabling faster payments and predictable cash flow. For enterprises, Tradeshift empowers them to work more easily and productively with their entire supply chain, anywhere in the world. Tradeshift boasts an international client roster and is already serving global enterprises throughout the United States and Europe. “Tradeshift’s commitment to improving the business of global trade by innovating new technology is not only evidenced in their industry leading business transaction software. It is equally expressed in their relentless effort to support the needs of their international customers at the local level,” said Steven Verhasselt, Program Manager at DHL. “Certainly DHL has a large number of European suppliers. Tradeshift’s continued expansion in the region will only help support optimization of the Procure-to-Pay process.”
