Code of Conduct
TRADESHIFT CODE OF CONDUCT
This Code of Conduct sets forth TRADESHIFT’s internal policies and philosophies in the area of responsible ethical, social and environmental practices.
COMPLIANCE WITH LABOR LAWS
TRADESHIFT will fully comply with all applicable laws relating to labor and employment rules, for example those pertaining to slavery, child labor, human trafficking, underage workers, hours of work, wages, minimum education and working conditions, and observe all legal requirements. Further, we will comply with all applicable laws and principles of humanity concerning minimum wage and overtime, and legally mandated benefits.
NON-DISCRIMINATION
TRADESHIFT will not discriminate in hiring and employment practices on grounds of race, religion, age, nationality, social or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy, political affiliation, or disability.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
TRADESHIFT believes that everyone should be treated with fairness and dignity and shall not tolerate any forms of physical, sexual, psychological or verbal abuse or harassment on any employees. Employees shall be free to join organizations of their own choice and shall not be subject to intimidation or harassment in the exercise of their right to join or to refrain from joining any organization. TRADESHIFT employees will refrain from any communications, either in person or on any Tradeshift tools or platforms, that:
- Make reference to race, national origin or skin color
- Make reference to any religious belief
- Make reference to sexual orientation
- Make reference to age, gender, civil status, disability
- Any form of general discrimination or harassment towards people
HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES
TRADESHIFT provides its employees with an environmentally safe and ergonomically healthy work environment in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
ENVIRONMENTAL GUIDELINES
TRADESHIFT respects and adheres to a wide range of environmental laws and endeavors to protect and restore the environment, by such means as operating a near-paperless company globally, and making use of energy conservation, recycling and proper disposal of waste.
BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
TRADESHIFT strictly prohibits corruption, extortion, bribery, and embezzlement, in any form. Bribes or other means of obtaining undue or improper advantage are not to be offered or accepted, in compliance with the requirements of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the U.K. Anti-Bribery Act, and similar anti-corruption laws. Employees and Tradeshift’s partners must not engage in corruption, bribes or facilitation payments, or grant any advantage, whether directly or indirectly, or offer any gift or entertainment to public officials with the aim of influencing decisions.
ETHICAL BUSINESS CONDUCT
TRADESHIFT is committed to conducting its business in a lawful, honest and ethical manner using competitive and fair market practices. Employees must not engage in any understanding or agreements with competitors with the effect of biasing or improperly influencing the markets in which it operates. Competition laws must be respected at all times. The integrity of our business records, confidentiality of our trade secrets and the proprietary information of our customers is paramount and we require all employees, contractors and service providers to employ the highest standards of conduct in safeguarding such information and comply with the appropriate Tradeshift confidentiality and background-check requirement. Violations of the TRADESHIFT code of conduct may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Dated: 09 June 2020
